ఆక్షనీర్ మల్లికా సాగర్... ఫ్రాంచైజీలకు గుడ్ లక్ చెప్పి వేలం ప్రారంభించారు. మొదట పంజాబ్ పేసర్ అర్షదీప్ సింగ్ పేరుతో వేలం షురూ అయింది. అర్షదీప్ సింగ్ కనీస ధర 2 కోట్లు కాగా సన్ రైజర్స్ అతనిని 18.75 వరకు సన్ రైజర్స్ వేలంలో నిలించింది. పంజాబ్ కింగ్స్ 'రైట్ టు మ్యాచ్' కార్డు ఉపయోగించి రూ.18 కోట్లతో అర్షదీప్ ను సొంతం చేసుకుంది.
ఐపీఎల్ నిబంధనల ప్రకారం తాము విడుదల చేసిన ఆటగాళ్లను ఆయా ఫ్రాంచైజీలు ఈ రైట్ టు మ్యాచ్ కార్డు సాయంతో వేలంలో మళ్లీ సొంతం చేసుకోవచ్చు. వాళ్లు రిలీజ్ చేసిన ప్లేయర్స్ వేలంలోకి వచ్చినపుడు ...ఇతర ఫ్రాంచైజీలు పోటీపడుతున్నప్పటికి అతడ్ని రిలీజ్ చేసిన ఫ్రాంఛైజీ రైట్ టు మ్యాచ్ కార్డును వాడితే మరెవ్వరు ఫ్రాంచైజీలకు అవకాశం ఉండదు. అర్షదీప్ సింగ్ ను రిలీజ్ చేసిన పంజాబ్ కింగ్స్ అలానే సొంతం చేసుకుంది ఇప్పుడు అర్షదీప్ 18 కోట్లతో పంజాబ్ కింగ్స్ సొంతం అయ్యారు.
