తుఫానుగా బలపడే అవకాశాలున్నాయి. తమిళనాడు తీరానికి చేరుకుంటూ తీర ప్రాంతాల్లో భారీ వర్షాలు కురిపించవచ్చు.
న్యూస్ లైన్, స్పెషల్ డెస్క్: బంగాళాఖాతంలో ఫెంగల్ తుఫాను కారణంగా తమిళనాడు తీరప్రాంత జిల్లాల్లో భారీ ..అతి భారీ వర్షాలు కురిసే అవకాశం ఉంది.. దీంతో తుఫాను ప్రభావిత ప్రాంతాల్లో విద్యాసంస్థలకు సెలవులు ప్రకటించారు. అయితే ఇది పశ్ఛిమ-వాయువ్య దిశగా కదులుతూ తుఫానుగా బలపడే అవకాశాలున్నాయి. తమిళనాడు తీరానికి చేరుకుంటూ తీర ప్రాంతాల్లో భారీ వర్షాలు కురిపించవచ్చు.
మయిలాడుతురై, తిరువారూర్, నాగపట్నం, కారైకల్ జిల్లాల్లో రానున్న 24 గంటల్లో భారీ వర్ష సూచనతో రెడ్ అలర్ట్ జారీ చేశారు.తిరువళ్లూర్, కాంచీపురం, చెన్నై, చెంగల్పట్టు, విల్లుపురం, పుదుచ్చేరి, కడలూరు, అరియలూర్, తంజావూర్, పుదుక్కొట్టై, శివగంగ, రామనాథపురం జిల్లాల్లో కూడా భారీ నుంచి అతి భారీ వర్షాలు కురిసే అవకాశం ఉంది. కడలూరు , మయూలాడుతురై జిల్లాల్లో అత్యంత భారీ వర్షాలు కురిసే అవకాశాలున్నట్లు వాతావరణ శాఖ హెచ్చరించింది.
కడలూరు జిల్లాలో రేపు భారీ వర్ష సూచనతో రెడ్ అలర్ట్ జారీ చేసారు. ప్రస్తుతం ఈ జిల్లాలో భారీ వర్షం కురుస్తున్నాయి. రేపు మరీ ఎక్కువ వర్షం పడే సూచనలున్నాయి. దీంతో రేపు జిల్లాలోని అన్ని స్కూళ్లు, కాలేజీలకు సెలవు ప్రకటించారు.
